       Fandangling Review & Giveaway

fandangling

Do you love crib mobiles but don’t want the risk your baby grabbing a hold of it?  Well we got to try Fandangling and it’s brillant.  If you already have celing fans in your baby or kid’s room, Fandangling turns the boring ceiling fans to entertaining mobiles.  It is great way to keep babies and kids preoccupied.  It also serves as another room decor to accent your children’s room.  Fandangling attaches by velcro so no batteries to buy unlike those mobiles.  We got to try the Puparazzi kit.  My daughter loves dogs so she enjoyed the Fandangling quite a bit.  She has named each one of them.  Her favorite is the dalmation one.

What is another great thing about Fandangling is that they offer 10% of their proceeds to charity, so check out their site and pick up a Fandangling for yourself or for an upcoming baby shower or birthday party.  They are $19.95 but thanks to Fandangling, you can use Coupon Code FANDANGLING10 and get an extra 20% off.  This is so much cheaper than any mobile out there and you’re guaranteed to use it much longer.  They make several sets but another thing I like about them is your ability to customize so you can get 5 of the same kind or mix them up.

For those that want to give Fandangling a try risk free, you can enter our giveaway by simply going to the Fandangling website and tell us which Fandangling is your favorte and that you would like to win.  This contest is open to US and Canada residents.  We hope you enjoy Fandangling as much as we did.  Thanks for a great product Anne!  For extra entries, you can do the following:

Ella Bella Hair Clippies Review and Giveaway

Have you heard of Ella Bella?  If not, you have to check out their cute online store!  Having a little girl myself, we have gone through many types of hair clips.  Some stay in and some don’t.  Some break easily and some don’t.  My experience with Ella Bella hair clippies has been great!  I was really amazed at how sturdy and well made they were.  They were not flimsy and the ribbon never came off the clips.  One great characteristic of the clips is that they each come with a small non-slip pad so that the clip stays in.  This is great for kids with very thin hair or barely any hair at all.

Lots of people think small clips are only for babies but theses great clips will dress up big girl’s outfit too.  These make great gifts so check them out!

They also have a Clippie of the Month Club!  Sign a little girl up and they will receive a different clippie every month for 12 months.  What a great idea!  It comes out to be $6.25 month and shipping is free!

Lucky for our weefinds readers, Ella Bella is giving away a $25 gift certificate.  To enter the giveaway, navigate to Ella Bella and let us know what is your favorite product.  Beware…there are a lot to choose from!

Days Ago Digital Counter Review and Giveaway

How many times have you wondered how long something has been in the fridge?  I tend to smell them but sometimes my husband dares to taste them.  Well wonder no more…have you ever heard of DaysAgo?  It’s a digital day counter that attaches to a variety of surfaces to let you know how many days ago has passed.  It comes in three kinds – magnetic, suction or band attachment.  I got to try the magnetic and suction one.  I used the suction for plastic and glass containers in the fridge and I used the magnetic one for any jars that has the metal lids like Mayo, pickles, etc.  I also used one of the suction counters on one of my plants that I always tend to overwater or dry up.  I plan to order some band attachment ones to use on the coffee and chip bags in my pantry.  The product has been featured in the Oprah Show, Good Morning America, HGTV and Real Simple magazine so a lot of other people love them as much as I do.  I wish I discovered them earlier since this would have been great for baby food.  My husband  and I used a Sharpie to write on the the lid of the baby food but it usually got smudged or unreadable.  This would have been perfect.  Any leftovers now  get the DaysAgo in our fridge.  If you can’t wait to try them, they can be found in several stores.  Click here to find the one nearest you.

DaysAgo is offering a giveaway to our lucky readers.  Just tell us in the comemnt which version you would like to try and what you plan on using it for.  This is open to US and Canada residents.  Winner will be announced January 17, 2010.  For extra entries:

       Bebe Dulce Review and Giveaway

Bebe Dulce specializes in original, handmade gifts for Baby and Mom. Bebe Dulce was started by a Mom for Mom’s, to make the stressful, hectic life of being a Mom easier!  We got to try one of their new products – the Peek-a-Boo clip which can quickly turn any blanket into a nursing cover.  It is small, compact and fully adjustable!  It doesn’t take up space in your diaper bag and keeps you securely covered so you won’t give stranger’s a “peek” while nursing.  We totally enjoyed using this product especially since some nursing covers are too narrow and thin.  A blanket is definitely the right size and the Peek-A-Boo clip alleviates having to carry another thing in my diaper bag .  A blanket I always have so it was an ingenious idea.  I also used it to turn any napkin into a bib for my toddler :)

Bebe Dulce is kind enough to sponsor a giveaway and offer a coupon code for our reader.  Use wee20 to receive 20% off your order.  Coupon code good till 12/31/09.  They have a lot of products under $25 so check them out for the holidays.  For the giveaway, all you have to do is go to the Bebe Dulce site and tell us your favorite product and which Peek-A-Boo Clip you want to win.  Winner will be announced January 13, 2010.  Thanks Bebe Dulce.

       Boogie Wipes Review and Giveaway

Flu and cold season are all around us this winter.  This is the perfect season to try Boogie Wipes.  What are Boogie Wipes?  Well, Boogie Wipes are made with saline to dissolve boogies (mucus) caused by the common cold, allergies or otherwise booger-filled kid moments.  Extra soft and scented in Great Grape, Fresh Scent or Magic Menthol (for extra stuffy noses) Boogie Wipes are recommended by Pediatricians as a gentle, effective alternative to a dry tissue.

My daughter fortunately hasn’t caught a cold this season but I tried Boogie Wipes on our trip to Asia last month.  We went to Korea, Thailand and the Philippines.  Korea was freezing cold and the air was pretty dry.  When we got the Philippines and Thailand, the weather was hot and humid.  There is also a lot of pollution especially in the cities.  My daughter’s nose got stuffed a lot and she kept on wanting to pick her nose which was very unsanitary.  I tried to tell her to use a tissue but she didn’t like the tissue rubbing her face since her eczema acted up on her face and it was dry and flaky.  I was fortunate to have brought the travel pack of Boogies Wipes which she finally welcomed to clear her stuffy nose.  It worked pretty well to clean her nose during our trip.  I now carry a pack of boogie wipes in my purse since she prefers this over tissue.

One of our lucky readers an win two (2) 30-count package of boogie wipes by entering our giveaway.  All you have to do is tell us which scent you’d like to try.  Giveaway is open to US and Canada residents.  Winner will be announced New Years Day, January 1, 2010.  If you want to try Boogie Wipes before then, you can use coupon code Boogie Time  which will give you a 20% discount on orders through their website.

       Frecklebox – Custom Book Review

Books and Coloring Books

I am a sucker for things that are personalized.  They are just so fun and I think it makes the child feel special.  I came across Frecklebox and contacted them.  They sent me a personalized zoo storybook and a notebook.  The personalized book is so cool!  My daughter loved finding her name on each page and loved cheering every time she found it.  Frecklebox has a wide range of products and they recently added clipboards.  I’m going to be ordering one of those for a 5 year old that loves to write and color.   These products make great gifts!   Click HERE to see their great products.

       Baby Dipper Giveaway and Review

The Baby Dipper bowlMealtimes can get kinda crazy when you have two kids under 3.  We recently had the chance to try out the Baby Dipper which was invented by a mommy of two sets of twins.  The bowl is triangular shaped with a non-slip rubber base.  It is slightly angled to make scooping up the food a bit easier.  It is made so that you only need one hand to feed your child.

I have been using this for a few months now, and really like it.  It is great for feeding my little one solids, while also trying to keep an eye on my toddler while he feeds himself.  I can see it being really useful when my youngest starts to lear how to feed herself.  My toddler has also used it for rice, and I like how the bowl doesn’t slip every time he tries to scoop us his food.  I think the only thing I would like to see is a bigger size, for larger sized appetites like my toddler.

Baby Dipper is offering a free baby dipper set for our readers.  To enter, please comment on this post on why you deserve the baby dipper.  US entries only.  For extra entries – you can follow Baby Dipper on Twitter, Facebook, the newsletter which you can subscribe from their website, and/or their blog.  Winner will be announced October 12.

       Here We Go CD Review

My 3 1/2 year daughter has always enjoyed music.  She loves Sound of Music, Mamma Mia and Taylor Swift songs.  Some of this content however is a little bit too mature for her age so when I found the Here We Go CD.  She liked the cover of the bear and has enjoyed most of the songs.  Her favorite is .    It’s upbeat and age appropriate.  It gives my daughter of a non-kiddie CD since it’s not within cartoons, etc.
You can get the CD from their website or from Amazon.  Here is the link to their site for additional information.

My 3 1/2 year daughter has always enjoyed music.  She loves Sound of Music, Mamma Mia and Taylor Swift songs.  Some of the content however is a little bit too mature for her age in my opinion.  Nowadays she talks about when she gets married so when I found the Here We Go CD, I thought it was perfect.  It gives my daughter a non-cartoon CD which makes her feel all grown up but the lyrics are age appropriate.  Her favorite is the CD cover and design of course.  She can listen to the whole CD and has been enjoying the songs in our drive to and from preschool.  Her favorite is Baby Food.   The CD is upbeat.

You can get the CD from their webstore and here is the link to their website for additional information about the minds behind the music.  You can also see their music video.  Great work and keep it up Here We Go Productions!

       The Shandle Review & Giveaway

Potty Training is in full swing in my household.  Since I have a little boy, I always told myself that I would teach him how to properly lift the seat up and put it back down after use.  (This is my gift to my future daughter-in-law.)  Since toilets aren’t exactly considered clean, and a falling toilet seat can also hurt little fingers, I thought I would try out the Shandle.  The Shandle is a toilet seat handle that is very simple to install and use.  It has antimicrobial properties built into it which adds extra protection from germs and bacteria.  They have a variety of cute designs with cute reminders, and they even a plain one to use in your guest bathroom.  It is easy enough for my toddler to use, and gives him yet another incentive to use the potty.  (He already likes flushing and pulling the toilet paper.)  At $6.99 the Shandle is quite affordable, but the makers of the Shandle also offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee if you are not completely satisfied.

We are giving away a Shandle to one lucky weefinds reader. To enter the giveaway, check out the The Shandle site and comment in this post with your favorite design or a great potty training tip. For extra entries, either subscribe to us, follow us on twitter, or tweet about this post with @weefinds in your tweet. The winners will be chosen on September 7th.

       Baby Eggi Review/Giveaway

When I first received the Baby Eggi products to review, my first reaction was, “SOOO soft!!”.  I really couldn’t believe how soft the fabrics were.

Baby Eggi was started by two sisters who had a experience in the fashion industry.  Becoming moms inspired them and a children’s fashion line was born.  Their sizes range from infant to 5T.

Not only are their products affordable,  Baby Eggi is charitable!  Their Good Eggi program donates 20% of all profits to your choice of two charities.  How great is that?!?!

I had the pleasure of reviewing the Swan Polo Short Sleeve (on sale for $15) and the Apron Dress ($20).  Both fit really well, have held up through a toddler’s many activities and have retained their softness through many washes.  These are definitely some high quality products.

Lucky for our weefinds readers, Baby Eggi is giving away a set of clothes for girls (Apron dress, Two pocket blouse, Hooded dress) and one for boys (Forgive me tee, Dragon, Swan polo).  To enter the giveaway, check out the Baby Eggi site and comment in this post if you’d like to win the girl set or the boy set.  For extra entries, either subscribe to us, follow us on twitter, or tweet about this post with @weefinds in your tweet. The winners will be chosen on August 26th.

       Potty Tots Review & Giveaway

Little B is now 2 1/2 and ready to move up to the next class in preschool in the fall.  The only prerequisite is that he is potty trained.  To be honest, I’ve been putting this off for months, as I just wasn’t ready to deal with any “accidents”.  However, I knew I needed to start sometime, so a few weeks ago I decided to try the Potty Tots Training program that weefinds was asked to review.

The Potty Tots Training Kit includes: A story/guide book, animated DVD featuring 3 original potty tots songs and 2 bonus music videos, an 11×17 illustrated potty chart, and an 11×17 progress reward/game.

We started off by reading the book before bedtime for a few nights, and then showed him the DVD which further  illustrated the story.  He loves watching the DVD and listening to the catchy potty tunes.  After he was familiar with the “potty chart” we hung it up together in the bathroom, and I asked him if he wanted to go potty.  For the first time in a long time, he was actually interested in using the potty and following all the “steps” as illustrated on the chart.  He is very proud each time he completes a “step” exactly how “Enrique” does it in the Potty Tots story.  When he is done he always says “Mommy, I did it!” which of course makes both of us very happy.  We still have a ways to go before he is potty trained, but I am happy that the Potty Tots Training program has peaked his interest in using the potty.

Potty Tots is giving away one of their potty training kits to a lucky weefinds reader.  To enter this giveaway visit the Potty Tots site and leave us a comment on what you think about their training program. For extra entries, either subscribe to us, follow us on twitter, or tweet about this post with @weefinds in your tweet. The winners will be chosen on August 23rd.

       Bugalug Baby

Getting a hair accessory that my daughter would wear the whole day has been challenging till I got to try Bugalug Baby’s headbands and pony loops.  The headband holds very well in place and is comfortable.  I think the primary reason she likes them is that they are comfortable since it doesn’t put the pressure behind the ears.  It has a drawstring that adjusts it to any size at the nape of your neck.  I even tried wearing it and it even fits me so it is definitely one size fits all.  The headband that she has is the Darling Debut Fine which is versatile to go with any outfit.  The pony tail loops are also cute and sturdy.  Usually my daughter only wears pigtails for an hour at the most then she yanks the rubber bands out.  She has actually come home from preschool having it still on so I was extremely surprised.  She always picks these pony loops when I do her hair.  Our friends at Bugalug is offering a 10% discount by using coupon code WEEFIND10 good thru August 31st.

Spa Time Baby Review and Giveaway

I was given the opportunity to try out two Spa Time Baby products.  The Sweet Lavender Calendula soap and the Shea Butter Baby Balm.

I chose the two products since I love anything with a Lavender scent and since my daughter has a mild eczema, I asked Spa Time Baby what are good products for this based on their customer base.  These are the two they recommended.  I tried using both products together.  Before using the Sweet Lavender Calendula soap, we’ve been using Dove original on her.  This has worked pretty well for the most part but after using the Spa Time Baby Soap, I definitely am switching.  First of all, the soap outlasted the Dove bar.  I love the fact that it has the lavender scent, a small amount produces a very soapy lather and it rinses very well.  After shower, my daughter  loved smelling the Shea Butter Baby Balm before I put it on her.  I used to use Eucerin or Oils of Aloha lotion.  This one combines a slight scent that I liked with the Oils of Aloha lotion and the consistency of the Eucerin.  I only used a little dollop and it covered her up pretty welll.  I usually reapply lotion on her legs before she goes to bed since I notice that she scraches them while trying to put herself to bed but the Shea Butter Baby Balm seems to moisturize her skin much better.  I only applied it after showering and it lasted the whole night.

Our friends at Spa Time Baby are also sponsoring a giveaway.  The winner may choose any one of our products including the Skin Care Package but excluding the CozyCare Gift Sets and Spa Sets.  All you have to do is comment on your favorite product, subscribe to our feed or tweet about it.  They are also offering a 25% discount code to our readers by entering the code Cozy at checkout.  This code has no expiration date.  Also note that they offer free shipping on all orders $99 and up.   Thanks Spa Time Baby!  UPDATE:  Since we neglected to post the giveaway end date.  We are extending this for 2 more weeks.  Winner will be announced June 12th.

Tote and Tee Review and Giveaway

Tote and Tee provided me with a sample of their socks and Turtle Penny pals (pictured below).  The socks were perfect for my daughter especially during Fall/Winter.  Rather than having tights to wear, my daughter wore these socks with her skirts and dresses.  It also provided an extra layer under her pants during the winter.  I liked the long socks because they were not like tights that could disrupt with her potty rush.  Less accidents equates to happy mommies and daddies =).  We use her turtle purse for her little backpack.  Every time we see some change around the house, she collects them in the little purse to feed to her little piggy bank later on.  I guess you can say we’re starting financial training early.  Tote and tee are providing our readers and extra 20% by entering the code weefinds.  They are also sponsoring a $25 giveaway towards any Tote and Tee products.  Since most of their products are now under $25, it’s like having anything on the site for free.   Please comment on this post on your favorite product from our friends at Tote and Tee.  For extra entries, please mention us in your blog or on Twitter, and/or subscribe to our RSS feed and comment that you did.  Winner will be announced June 25th.  Thanks Tote and Tee!

       Parking Pal Review & Giveaway

Parking Pal is a small magnetic circle with a small handprint that children can use as an indicator of where to hold on to while outside the car.  To be completely honest, I was a bit pessimistic on how this little magnet can keep my active 3 year old to stay near the car but surprisingly it does!  I guess it does make her focus on a spot and keeps her preoccupied for those few seconds while I’m finding my keys or juggling shopping bags into the car.  This will probably be even more helpful for people with multiple kids.  Of course, this shouldn’t take the place of other safety measures that you should take with your little ones but it definitely gives my daughter a spot to focus on outside the car to stick her hand on.  My daughter stores the parking pal in the back compartment of the front seat when she is in the car.  She says someone will take it if we left it outside =).   Parking Pal is giving a free parking pal magnet for our readers.  All you have to do is comment on this post on which design you like best.  For extra entries, please mention us in your blog or on Twitter, and/or subscribe to our RSS feed and comment about them.  Parking Pal is only $7.99 and you can get free shipping with coupon code wee09.   Just add it to the special instructions to the seller when ordering.  This giveaway will last till June 16.  Winner will be announced June 17.

       DappleBaby Review and Giveaway

We were recently provided with three DappleBaby products to try – Toy Cleaner, Liquid Dish Soap and Powder Dish Soap.

The Dapple Toy Cleaner is a toy cleaning product that uses natural ingredients such as baking soda to keep your home and environment a healthy clean.  In line with latest medical research, Dapple Toy Cleaner Spray is not antibacterial. It works like a thorough wash with soap and water – so baby can build up a strong immune system while enjoying clean surroundings. Just spray, wipe and play.™  I found this to be a very useful product pre and post play dates!  The scent is not strong like some household cleaners and I like that it comes in travel size.  I can bring it easily to the park to clean the swing handles or my daughter’s stroller so I can put her snacks on it.

The DappleBaby Liquid and Powder Detergent are also made to safely remove milk, formula, and other baby foods from your bottles and dishes.  The dish liquid has a very subtle lavender scent as well.  I was pleased with both products as they cleaned my dishes just as well as my normal dishwashing liquid and detergent.  In fact, I was surprised with the results of the dishwasher detergent as I normally do not have much luck with powder detergents.  My dishes came out clean and fresh, and my bottles did not have the milky film that you usually still have with other cleaning agents.  Overall this is a great product, and it helps to know that it is baby friendly as well.

Our friends at Dappy are providing a giveaway for all the products that we sampled.  All you have to do is go to the DappleBaby site and tell us your favorite product.  DappleBaby will ship you the sample gift set we got to try once we announce the winner.  The contest winnder will be announced on May 15th.  For extra entries, please mention us in your blog or on Twitter, and/or subscribe to our RSS feed and comment about them.
