Birthday gift spending
Between family and friends, we have lots of kid’s birthday parties to go to. I always have fun shopping for gifts but they can add up. With the state of the economy, have you changed your spending habits for presents? I’m curious to see how much everyone spends on gifts these days.

I try to look for sales too but sometimes I feel like I’m not spending enough. I still haven’t figured out what is “enough” though. 
When my friends & I first started having kids (ie, we both only had 1 or 2 kids), I spent a lot more…like $30-$40 on birthday gifts. Now that I have friends with 3+ kids, I just can’t afford it. I make some gifts, but typically try to buy toys on sale, under $20.
I Like to spend $15 but try to find something on sale but very nice.
